Welcome to Appalachian Trail Rides. Please take a moment to review the following important information along with our prices. The safety of our horses and staff is our top priority. Your experience depends on our diligent enforcement of the following requirements.
- We want to make horseback riding available and accessible to everyone our weight restrictions are a matter of safety in the case of the horses and their riders. It is also a matter of the soundness, health, and longevity of the horses involved. We want to provide long term loving care for our horses and will not overload them. All riders over 18 years will be weighed at check-in. If over weight limit, rider will not be able to ride and a $10 cancellation fee for that rider will be charged.
- To participate on our trail rides we ask that you have the ability to understand the English language or have an interpreter if you plan to ride. This requirement is for safety purposes and the need to respond appropriately to instruction later given by our guides while on the horse.
- Due to our insurance regulations and policies Dogs are NOT allowed on the property.
Prices are per person including tax, but not gratuity to the guide (unless stated).
All rides are on a 250 acre private wooded property with creek crossings and possible wildlife sighting.
All reservations are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy.
Please respect our strict 24 hour cancellation policy
You must show up with the number of riders you have reserved, unless you give us 24 hours notice. There are several hours of preparation that goes into getting your horses ready. Also, we are reserving those horses for you instead of renting them out to others who call. We understand life happens, but we are holding up our end of the agreement by having a suitable horse standing and waiting for YOU. So we ask that you please respect your end of the agreement.

DINNER RIDE

October through April
After an hour horseback ride, we will head over to our ponds and gazebo area, dismount from our horses, and dinner will be served. You may fish in our ponds, all while live music will be played around our campfire 🔥 !!
Dinner will consist of a choice of ribs, pulled pork or smoked turkey served with two sides, roll, dessert and drink.
There will also be a vegetarian option and kids meals.
