S&T Stables is a 250 acre privately owned mountainous farm featuring a large horse stable facility, pasture, scenic trails, private lakes and creeks in a serene setting. Get to know a little about us. Owner, Johnny Tarpley has put great care and detail into creating this one-of-a-kind establishment. The farm was named after his two children, who share his love of horses, Sydney & Taylor. Opening S&T Stables has become the family dream for Johnny, his wife Natalie, and their two girls. Providing a family-oriented environment to create memories of a lifetime for their family and to share with others!

The Redlhammer’s
Luke and Blair Redlhammer have 30 plus years of experience in the horsemanship business. They have worked with horses from boarding, training, showing, owning and maintenance all the way to proper nutrition.
Blair has had horses since she was 8 years old. Her love of horses came from her mom. Blair and her parents owned many horses over the years, showing them all over the country. At the age of 14, her parents purchased property in Pompano Beach, FL. They built a 10 stall horse barn where they both boarded and cared for horses. After Blair graduated high school, her love for horses took her into training. Quickly the 10 stall horse barn grew to boarding and training 60 plus horses! Blair and her clients were showing horses all over the country in major horse shows.
Luke and Blair met in early 2000. At that time Luke was working at Miami Metro Zoo. Luke’s love of animals including reptiles and exotics combined with Blair’s love of the horses made them a great team! Luke came to work at the horse barn helping with the daily chores including maintenance, nutrition and breeding. They married in December 2003 and ran the horse barn until early 2012. Leaving Florida behind they, along with their two boys moved to Blue Ridge, Georgia. Luke and Blair went to work managing and guiding trail rides at local trail riding facilities.
In May of 2017, they were asked to manage and help design and create Appalachian Trail Rides at S&T Stables, LLC. They were so excited for the future and looked forward to growing the business. Now, they love meeting everyone who comes to horseback ride at Appalachian Trail Ridges!
